10.30am Ladies event (age 12 and over) 5km
11.45am Mens event (age 12 and over) 5km
Start This will be in the Market Place with the start line outside the Cancer Research UK shop. Runners should place themselves at the front with the slower joggers and walkers behind them, and any wheelchairs / pushchairs / dog walkers at the rear. Please note these areas will be marked to ensure you start with the correct group members and this is required to assist with yours and all other participants safety.
It is important that you pin your number on the front of your vest so that it is clearly visible at all times
(it is important your emergency details are on the back and show any ongoing illness/conditions).
Any photo?s taken during the run will be identifiable by your number only, so please ensure your number is pinned to the front of your vest / t-shirt.
Junior Course The course takes you from the start line down Eastgate, you will take the first turn right along Burnt Hill Lane to Queen Street. You will then turn left onto Aswell Street, the route then goes right onto Kidgate, before turning right again onto Upgate, then right into and along Mercer Row to finish back in the Cornmarket.
Senior Course After leaving the town centre area the course takes you along Gospelgate, Crowtree Lane and through Hubbards Hills. On emerging into Halfpenny Lane at the southern end of Hubbards Hills you will turn left and come back along the footpath of Horncastle Road and Edward Street, before turning into Gospelgate. You will then cross Upgate into Mercer Row to finish in the Cornmarket.
Finish A photographer will be there to take your photograph as you cross the finish line. Be ready to smile. After crossing the finish line please keep moving through the finish funnel, not forgetting to collect your goodie bag containing your commemorative medal, bottle of water and various other items.
Please clear the finish area as quickly as possible. Supporters and spectators are requested not to breach the barriers in the finish area, this area is for participants only.
Pre-run Warm Up Before the start of each event there will be an aerobic warm up session of approximately 10 minutes, held at the start line, in the Market Place area.
Safety All entrants are advised to wear suitable footwear. Should poor weather conditions prevail please also bring appropriate clothing. The Race will go ahead whatever the weather. Water is supplied at the finish line, further water is available at the exit of Hubbards Hills in the Adults events. We would recommend you please have sufficient fluids with you.
Although the town centre will be subject to road closure and will be traffic free, all other areas of the course, with the exception of Hubbards Hills, will remain open to other highway users and therefore please remain aware and alert at all times.
The course will be extensively marshalled and at the two major road junctions on Upgate and Edward Street you should only cross the road with the Marshall?s instruction.
Parking There is ample car parking around the town centre, with the main car parks being located in Northgate, Eastgate, Queen Street, Newmarket and the Cattle Market.
Run Headquarters This will be situated at Lovelle Estate Agency in the Cornmarket, Louth. There is no need to report to the entries co-ordinator if you already have your number. There will be a one way system in place to ease congestion, please adhere to the guidance available.
First Aid St Johns Ambulance will be in attendance with their command post situated in the Market Place and with several mobile units linked by radio around the course.
Toilets The public toilets are situated in Little Eastgate, which is just off the Market Place. There will be limited toilet facilities available at public houses around the Market Place area. Out on the course there are public toilets situated at the northern entrance to Hubbards Hills.
Refreshments Several cafes and public houses around the town centre will be open. serving coffee and meals throughout the day.

Post Event Entertainment Live music and food is being arranged at the Kings Head Hotel for your enjoyment throught the afternoon. Please don?t rush away.
